What is DegensQuest?

DegensQuest is a SocialFi gaming platform built on Base where every Telegram group becomes a multiplayer gaming server. Players earn XP, $DEGEN soft currency, and QUEST tokens by playing games and completing quests with their communities. The Telegram bot @degensquestbot is the primary entry point — add it to any group and start playing immediately.

What is QUEST?

QUEST is the native ERC-20 token of DegensQuest, deployed on Base (chainId 8453). It is used for game rewards, Battle Pass purchases, guild upgrades, marketplace transactions, tournament entry fees, staking, and will power governance in the future. QUEST has real market value and is traded on Uniswap v4 on Base.

What blockchain is DegensQuest on?

Base — chainId 8453. Base is Coinbase’s L2 built on the OP Stack. It offers low transaction fees (often fractions of a cent), fast finality (2-second blocks), and deep integration with the Coinbase ecosystem and Uniswap v4.

Is DegensQuest free to play?

Yes. Playing all seven games, earning $DEGEN, leveling up, and completing quests is entirely free. A wallet and QUEST are only needed for on-chain rewards, NFT trading, premium Battle Pass, guild upgrades, and governance. The core experience requires nothing beyond a Telegram account.

Wallet & Security

Do I need a crypto wallet to play?

No. You can play all games and earn $DEGEN (in-game currency) without a wallet. A wallet is only required to receive QUEST token rewards, trade NFTs on the marketplace, or participate in on-chain governance.

What wallets are supported?

MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow, Trust Wallet, Ledger (via MetaMask), and any WalletConnect v2-compatible wallet. See Connect Your Wallet for the full list and setup guide.

Is DegensQuest safe to use?

DegensQuest smart contracts are audited and use battle-tested standards (OpenZeppelin). The QUEST token contract is immutable. SIWE authentication never requires your private key — only a wallet signature. We never ask for seed phrases. The sign-in domain is always app.degensquest.xyz — verify this before signing any message.

What is SIWE?

SIWE (Sign-In With Ethereum, EIP-4361) is an open authentication standard that lets you prove ownership of a wallet by signing a human-readable message. It is not a transaction, costs no gas, and grants no token approvals or spending permissions. You can disconnect at any time via /disconnect.

Can DegensQuest move my tokens without my permission?

No. Connecting your wallet via SIWE only grants DegensQuest the ability to read your wallet address. No token approvals are granted. DegensQuest cannot initiate transactions or move tokens from your wallet without you signing a transaction in your own wallet app.

Currency & Economy

What is $DEGEN vs QUEST?

$DEGEN is an in-game soft currency — think arcade tokens. It has no real-world value, cannot be traded or withdrawn, and exists purely for in-game spending (marketplace, Prediction Market, cosmetics). QUEST is a real ERC-20 token on Base with on-chain market value. You earn $DEGEN through gameplay and quests; QUEST rewards come from the Uniswap v4 protocol fee flywheel.

How do I earn QUEST?

QUEST rewards come from the protocol fee flywheel: every swap on the QUEST/ETH pool on Uniswap v4 generates fees that the custom Hook distributes to game rewards, staking, season prize pools, and other buckets. Win games, complete quests, and stake QUEST to earn from these buckets. A connected wallet on Base is required to receive QUEST.

What is the Uniswap v4 Hook?

A custom smart contract Hook attached to the QUEST liquidity pool on Uniswap v4. Every time someone swaps QUEST, a protocol fee is collected and automatically distributed to 9 buckets: game rewards, staking, marketing, creator rewards, referral rewards, season prize pools, liquidity incentives, buyback vault, and treasury. All percentages are governance-configurable. The live fee distribution dashboard is at degensquest.xyz/token.

Can I convert $DEGEN to QUEST?

No. $DEGEN and QUEST are intentionally separate. This separation keeps the in-game economy stable and prevents gaming $DEGEN mechanics from impacting the on-chain token price. Earn QUEST directly through game rewards, staking, and season prizes.

Where can I buy QUEST?

QUEST is traded primarily on Uniswap v4 on Base. Connect a Base-compatible wallet, switch to the Base network (chainId 8453), and swap ETH for QUEST. Always verify the contract address from degensquest.xyz/token or Basescan before swapping — never buy from unverified sources.

Games

What games are available?

Seven games: Trivia Quest (knowledge battle), Social Deduction (Mafia-style hidden roles), Prediction Market (bet $DEGEN on outcomes), Guild Raid (cooperative boss battle), Reaction Rounds (speed tapping), Degen Wheel (press-your-luck multiplier), and Rugpull Roulette (last-degen-standing elimination). More games launch with each season.

Can I play without being in a group?

Yes. DM @degensquestbot directly to play solo or head-to-head in private. Most games support both group and DM mode.

Can I play on mobile?

Yes. DegensQuest works natively in Telegram on iOS and Android. The Mini App provides a rich web interface accessible from the bot menu, and all game commands work from standard Telegram chats.

Are there anti-cheat measures?

Yes. All game timing is enforced server-side, not client-side. Trivia questions and answer order are randomized per player. Reaction times below 150ms are auto-disqualified. Suspicious patterns trigger review. Smart contract logic prevents double-claiming rewards. Confirmed cheating results in shadowban and removal from leaderboards.

Guilds

How do Guilds work?

A Guild is tied to a Telegram group. The group admin who initializes the bot becomes the Guild Leader. Members earn XP through gameplay that contributes to the Guild’s total XP and tier. Higher-tier Guilds get better raid damage multipliers, exclusive cosmetics, and priority tournament slots.

What are the Guild tiers?

Five tiers: Bronze (1×), Silver (1.2× raid damage), Gold (1.5×), Diamond (2×), and Legendary (3×). Upgrading tiers requires QUEST and meeting XP thresholds. Higher tiers also unlock Special Abilities in raids and exclusive cosmetic sets.

Can I be in multiple Guilds?

No. Each Telegram account is a member of one Guild at a time. You can leave a Guild via /guild leave — there is a 7-day cooldown before joining a new Guild.

Battle Pass

How does the Battle Pass work?

The Battle Pass has 100 tiers per season (~90 days). Earn XP through gameplay and quests to progress through tiers. The Free track gives everyone $DEGEN and basic items. The Premium track (1,000 QUEST or 999 Telegram Stars) adds cosmetics, QUEST reward bundles, and exclusive seasonal items. Buying Premium at any tier retroactively unlocks all Premium rewards for tiers you have already passed.

What happens to my progress at end of season?

Season XP resets. Your total level, lifetime XP, achievements, and inventory carry over permanently. Season leaderboard rankings lock in for prize distribution. All unclaimed Battle Pass rewards are automatically granted to your inventory at season end.

Does my level reset?

No. Your DegensQuest level is permanent and does not reset between seasons. Only the Season XP bar (used for Battle Pass tier progression) resets. Your total XP and level continue growing indefinitely.

Referrals

How do referrals work?

Type /profile in Telegram to find your referral link. Share it with friends. When a new user joins through your link and completes their first game, you receive referral XP (1,000 XP) and a $DEGEN bonus (500 $DEGEN). The new user also receives a 500 $DEGEN welcome bonus on top of the standard welcome bonus. A share of their first QUEST reward from the referral bucket is also credited to your account.

How do I report a bug or get support?

Type /support in the bot to open a support ticket. Critical security bugs can be reported to security@degensquest.xyz. Join the official Discord for community help and announcements.

Where can I see my QUEST token rewards?

Your connected wallet on Base holds your QUEST. Use the Mini App at app.degensquest.xyz or the Basescan block explorer to view your balance. The fee distribution dashboard at degensquest.xyz/token shows real-time protocol fee flows and distributions.

Can I create my own quests or tournaments?

Guild Leaders and verified Creators can design custom quests and host tournaments via the Creator Platform at app.degensquest.xyz. Set objectives, rewards (in $DEGEN), duration, and eligibility. Tournament creators set entry fees (in QUEST) and the platform takes a rake from the prize pool. Analytics and performance tracking are built in.

Where can I track QUEST price and volume?

The QUEST token page at degensquest.xyz/token shows live price, volume, holders, and the Hook fee distribution dashboard. The token is also indexed on Basescan and listed on DexScreener.
